On of my favorite things to do during the summer is the Bryant Park film festival. There's something about sitting under the Manhattan sky... reminds me alittle of home. Note: There will be a crowd. Get one of your friends to set up a blanket and picnic. The movies usually start around 8pm, but be there by 5:30! Like everything else here, too many people, so little space.
Most people don't pay attention to the opening movie title sequences, but someone put time and effort to create these "mini movies." For example the sequence for Psycho, was created by Saul Bass, a legendary graphic designer and Academy Award-winning filmmaker. His work includes sequences for The Man with the Golden Arm, North by Northwest, and Vertigo.
