Every time I meet someone new and I say I'm from Chattanooga, TN, the immediate response is, "Oh, I drove through Chattanooga on my way to visit my grandmother in Florida," or they sing some remnant from the Chattanooga Choo Choo, and of course there's the cheesy pick-up line, "You're the only ten I see." Still, I am excited by even the smallest mentions of my hometown. I guess it's that Southern pride, I can't help it.
